PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

You have made a bold and life changing first step in starting a rewarding and abundantly satisfying career in medicine and as the President of Universal Caribbean University (UCU), I welcome you and wish you success on the exciting academic journey that lies ahead.

While we are a relatively new institution, UCU has spent considerable time, expended significant effort and spared no expense in assembling an elite faculty and administrative and staff complement to ensure that the students enrolled with us receive a sound education based on our robust curriculum at our modern, well-appointed St. Kitts and Nevis campus.

UCU prides itself on its programs and its ability to guide students to academic excellence under the tutelage of highly qualified professors and at an affordable cost. We encourage active learning to assure that we consistently produce critical thinkers, problem solvers and ultimately highly qualified medical professionals who are leaders and lifelong learners.

While our emphasis is on academic excellence, we also wish for our students to complete their education fully cognizant of their role as future medical doctors in an ever-shrinking world. This begins with their exposure to the life and culture of the community in which our campus is located and is fostered further with the hands on, real life experiences and knowledge they will acquire later in their student career when clinical rotations commence with one of our many partner hospitals both in the Caribbean and the United States of America.

Our students are our priority and we aim to inspire them to set goals and achieve them, and while

excellence in all their pursuits is our sole expectation of them, we recognize that in order to do so UCU has an obligation to offer support along every step of the way. Only by doing so can the best learning experience be achieved whilst pushing every boundary and challenging the status quo.

As UCU continues to pursue its vision of becoming the premier medical school in the Caribbean, and ultimately emerging as a leading institution with global perspective, I am exceedingly proud to be the president of this fine institution and invite you to explore our website and visit our campus to discover the many opportunities enrollment with UCU can open up to you.
